Kyela is one of the districts in Mbeya region occupying an area roughly between longitude 33 fahrenheit 40" and 30 fahrenheit 00" East and latitudes 9 fahrenheit 25 and 9 fahrenheit 40 South. Most district lowlying between 478 and 600 masl on the flow of the great African rift valley at the tip of lake nyasa.
